What the world is looking for coffee trends

El mundo ha tenido gran interés en la búsqueda en los medios digitales sobre el café, su proceso, valor y todo lo que conlleva. El atractivo a lo largo del tiempo se ha mantenido estable, incluso ha aumento en los últimos 10 años.

Según Posada, S. en su blog “Que café”, asegura que, “Hoy, el mercado mundial del café apunta hacia el público joven de la generación (entre los 13 y 16 años) y hacia los millennials mediante una diversificación de las preparaciones de café como las bebidas funcionales, las bebidas de café con gas y las bebidas de café por extracción en frío” (Cold Brew).

Según datos tomados, las búsquedas son motivadas por tener mayor conocimiento en datos importantes sobre el café y su comercialización, tales como:

  • El café es la segunda mercancía más comercializada del mundo tras el petróleo. 
  • Unos 125 millones de personas viven de su cultivo, a los que tenemos que sumar los que viven de la transformación y comercialización de este, desde su tostado hasta los locales donde se sirven.
  • Al año se consumen alrededor de unos 400.000 millones de tazas de café.
  • Estados Unidos es el mayor importador de este producto, y Brasil es el principal país productor y exportador de café del mundo. 
  • Si hablamos de cafés arábica de calidad destaca Colombia que comercializa sólo la variedad Arábica, el cien por cien de su café es de esta variedad.
  • El consumo de café crece día a día y ha aumentado un 95% en los últimos 35 años, llegando a la espectacular cifra de casi 10.000 millones de kilos de café al año. 

El café como fuente de ingresos en los países, ha tenido gran relevancia a lo largo del tiempo y por ello está tan relacionado en los diferentes medios de búsqueda y de comunicación, además del gran legado que se ha obtenido por generaciones, donde se reconoce a la taza de café como fuente de unión.

El interés de los jóvenes por aprender más sobre el café, ha incrementado por la aparición de nuevos lugares para tomar este en sus diferentes presentaciones y por la facilidad de aprender sobre esta cultura vía internet, además la inclinación que existe por conocer las preparaciones y desarrollar habilidades de barismo.

- If we talk about quality Arabica coffees, Colombia stands out as it commercializes only the Arabica variety, one hundred percent of its coffee is of this variety.

Coffee as a source of income in the countries has had great relevance throughout time and for this reason it is so closely related in the different means of search and communication, in addition to the great legacy that has been obtained by generations, where the cup of coffee is recognized as a source of union.

The interest of young people to learn more about coffee has increased due to the appearance of new places to drink coffee in its different presentations and the ease of learning about this culture via the internet, in addition to the inclination that exists to learn about the preparations and develop barista skills.
